Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. continues to promote the efficient use of water throughout the entire production process by adopting the principle of 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) driven through all business activities in every Ajinomoto’s factory and establishment in accordance with the aim of becoming the "green factory" that contributes to the sustainable conservation of water resources and the environment. Consequently, the company was able to reduce the water consumption per unit of production by up to 91%.

Nowadays, the problem of water scarcity is becoming more severe and closer to us. It is the result of global warming, which has caused climate fluctuations, resulting in less rainfall during the dry season and contributing to water shortage issues. And it has led to a critical stage of drought conditions in several locations. Scientists have predicted that by 2025, two-thirds of the world's population will certainly experience water scarcity if the rate of water consumption continues to be extravagant, combined with the climate change conditions that the world is currently facing.
